Chapter 1 · Jane Austen
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.
“My dear Mr. Bennet,” said his lady to him one day, “have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?”

Questions
Can Narrately read PDFs aloud?
Yes. Upload a PDF and Narrately extracts its text, groups it into chapters and reads it aloud. PDFs need real text in them: a scanned PDF that's only pictures of pages has nothing to read.
Will it read scanned PDFs?
Not yet. Narrately reads the text inside a PDF, so a scan that's only images of pages has no words to narrate. Most ebooks, papers and exported documents work.
Which file formats does it support?
EPUB, PDF and plain text (TXT) files up to 100 MB. Narrately reads the title, author, cover and chapters from the file where it has them.
Are my books private?
Yes. Books you upload are visible only to your account and are never shared with other readers or used for advertising. You can delete a book at any time. Questions: hello@narrately.io.
